Like a fine handcrafted beer, Southend Brewery and Smokehouse Restaurant has to be experienced to be fully appreciated.

We are located in the historic Wagener Building downtown on East Bay Street, just up from famous Rainbow Row and Waterfront Park. There are three floors accessed by an indoor glass elevator offering Charleston dining, live entertainment, and banquet facilities. Our second and third floors are available for large parties. Now featured on local ghosts tours, our building has long, interesting history since 1880!

The three story atrium houses large copper and stainless steel brew tanks which heighten your dining experience. An exhibition kitchen runs the length of the restaurant extending into a large woodburning oven. We offer a diverse menu of regional American lowcountry cuisine including pastas, pizzas, fresh fish, and our specialty in-house smoked items such as BBQ ribs, steaks, chicken and pulled pork.

The elevator will take you up to our Southend Harborview Bar where you can enjoy your favorite microbrew or libation and a game of billiards or darts. Four championship-sized pool tables surround the perimeter of the room, or try your luck on our dartboards. For sports enthusiasts, bring your friends to come watch the big game on one of the five flat-screen television sets.

All attire is appropriate. Get dressed up for a romantic date or night on the town; or come as you are after a day of Charleston touring. Our child-friendly atmosphere is perfect for the family.
